We understand how important finding the right caregiver for your family is, which is why we are committed to a personalized matching process that offers you as much support as you need to find the right fit for your family. Once you start Cultural Care Au Pair’s matching process, you can rely on the help of a dedicated placement manager and exclusive rights to candidates under review.
More consistent screening process
Each Cultural Care recruitment office is staffed by full-time Cultural Care employees, including a program manager who oversees all recruiting and screening efforts. All staff members and local representatives have been trained to share the same information during our screening and orientation meetings and to interview candidates using the same metrics. Other au pair agencies outsource their recruiting and screening efforts to third-party agents. These agents are often compensated based on the number — not the quality — of the au pairs they recruit. Because Cultural Care Au Pair has invested in this unique structure, you can be confident about the high quality of our au pairs.
Better training process
Unlike other agencies that house au pairs in hotels and administer information using pre-recorded presentations, before arriving to your home, your au pair will spend four days at our Au Pair Training School on St. John’s University campus, located on Long Island, NY. The smaller class sizes, low student-to-instructor ratios, and focus on hands-on learning sets our training apart. At the school our experienced teachers review child safety and development curriculum with au pairs and they engage in group work based on the ages of their future host children.
Additionally, your au pair will complete an American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification program presented on-site by American Red Cross training instructors. Upon successful complete, au pairs receive a two-year Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
New this year, Cultural Care au pairs will also attend a classroom course on driver’s safety—also delivered by the American Red Cross—designed to familiarize au pairs with American driving laws, signs and protocols. (Effective for au pairs arriving from overseas February 2014 and beyond.)
Largest selection of candidates
Cultural Care Au Pair has the largest selection of au pairs to choose from hands down. And because you know each of them has been carefully screened, you can choose based on criteria that are unique to your family, like the sports she prefers, her interests, personality type and more. Having a larger selection of candidates puts you in the driver’s seat to select the au pair that works best for your needs.
Another reason more families choose Cultural Care Au Pair? Our matching process gives you flexibility to search for candidates while giving you the support you need.
